Endocrinology of the Aging Female: Weight Gain, Digestion & Stress
The increasing incidence of overweight and metabolic syndrome is one of the biggest health concerns facing modern society. There are multiple factors contributing to the weight gain epidemic including stress and digestive dysfunction, particularly disruption of the gut microbiota and the gut endocrine system.
Modern research provides us with new insights into how stress can cause dysfunction throughout the gut, and how these changes contribute to increased weight gain and decreased ability to lose excessive weight.
In this seminar Berris will discuss and interpret some of the most interesting aspects of recent research and will offer new perspectives which will advance your understanding of herbal supplements. Most importantly she will share her knowledge and clinical experience, demonstrating how you can help to improve the health, well-being and lifespan of your weight-challenged patients.*
